Delete Your Heyoo! Account

As a user of Heyoo! - Community & Meetups (developed by SocialRoots Technology Pvt. Ltd.), you have the right to permanently delete your account and associated data at any time. You can do this using either method below.

Follow these steps inside the Heyoo! mobile app:

1. Open the Heyoo! app and sign in to your account.
2. Tap your Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
4. Scroll down and tap Account.
5. Tap Delete Account.
6. Select a reason for deletion, then confirm by tapping Delete Permanently.

If you cannot access the app, submit a deletion request using the form below. We will verify your identity via OTP and process your request.

When your Heyoo! account is deleted, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems:

• Your profile information (name, profile photo, bio, interests)
• All posts, comments, and content you have published
• Your community memberships and associated activity
• Group chat messages and direct message history
• Uploaded photos and media
• Account credentials (email address, phone number)
• Preferences, settings, and notification history
• Heyoo Coins balance and rewards history
• Verification submissions (selfies, document scans)

This deletion is permanent. There is no recovery of deleted data.

A limited subset of data may be retained after account deletion for the following legally required or safety purposes:

• Transaction records (e.g., subscription or in-app purchase history) are retained for up to 3 years as required by Indian financial regulations (GST Act, Income Tax Act).
• Reports and safety records — if your account was involved in a reported safety incident (e.g., abuse, fraud), logs may be retained for up to 3 years in compliance with the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021, and for cooperation with law enforcement.
• Aggregated, anonymised analytics (no personally identifiable information) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.

Retained data is stored securely, is not used for marketing, and is not shared with third parties except as required by law.

• Deletion requests submitted in-app are initiated immediately and fully processed within 30 days.
• Deletion requests submitted via this page are processed within 7 business days of identity verification.
• During the processing period your account will be deactivated and inaccessible to other users.

You may also request deletion of specific data without fully deleting your account. For example, you can:

• Delete individual posts or comments from within the app
• Remove your profile photo or bio at any time in Settings
• Request deletion of your verification documents by emailing mandip@heyoo.in
